A blend of Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, and young-vine Blaufränkisch. Fermented in stainless steel and neutral oak fermenters; aged for 12 months in large format, neutral oak and stainless steel. In the past a single vintage wine, it's now a multi-vintage blend, allowing Roland to dial up the amount of Blaufänkisch and use only the best lots from a given year.
91pts, Wine Spectator: "This combines power and grace, with a ripe profile and lively acidity. Flavors of cherry and currant harmonize with hints of loam, underbrush and hibiscus tea. Complex and fresh-tasting, but also firm, this red is intriguingly long and inviting. Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and Pinot Noir. Drink now through 2026."
