Grapes: Portugieser and Silvaner with a bit of Pinot Noir
Vineyard: 15-25 years old vines on limestone. Estate-owned and farmed organically by Max&Marika themselves
Making of: manual harvest. The Portugieser and Silvaner were direct-pressed together. Native yeast only. Aged on lees for 9 months, in 2400l neutral barrels. The Pinot Noir part was added before bottling for a bit of extra pizzazz. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, with a tiny addition of SO2 (10ppm max).
Personality: an easy-drinking rosé with a hint of fun – “a classic nice guy”, Marika says. An enticingly light experience from its light copper hue to the refreshingly low alcohol – 9.5% only
