Winemaker's Note: “Gadabout & Gallivanter were not made in 2021, due to the climate struggles and the Caldor Fire in particular. For now, I am thrilled to share the first master blends created with Connor Bockman, my Director of Winemaking hired in January from R&D Winery, who has been an amazing addition to my team! I’ve called them IF THEN blends in reference to how I approach winemaking in this new day where I must have many creative options at the ready for making delicious wines regardless of the climate impact curveballs.” “In keeping with my belief that my entry-level wine should always over deliver these wines both surprise and delight with a very positive QPR (quality/price ratio). They are technically sound, never had “smoke” impact but the Chardonnay & Roussanne in these blends were subjected to reverse osmosis due to an atypical (for us) flaw that needed correcting. This technological manipulation is not used by natural winemakers but using it did result in our making delicious wines I am proud of.”
