This was our first vintage where we had access to all of the clones and blocks off our 1200 foot elevation estate vineyard. Each of them were vinified separately in small 1-2 ton fermenters with varying amounts of whole cluster. Blended just prior to bottling, the final wine may very well be one of the finest Pinot Noirs I have had the privilege to make to date. Aging in neutral french oak barrels has allowed for a transparency for all of the nuances to show in this wine. The wine has elegant lifted floral and spice aromatics with crushed red fruits and an underlying mineral component. Medium bodied and silky textured the flavors mirror the aromas that linger on the long finish. The tannins are firm but supple and should reward those who wait with a few years in the cellar.
